The high-tech centre is an enhanced interactive environment that serves as an education and entertainment centre, and delivers space-related knowledge through the application of the ‘Motivation Theory’ (an edutainment cognitive theory) to the interiors of the centre.
A detailed and technical research book was prepared, and was followed through with the design phase (which can be seen below).

Conceptualization of the project: brainstorming, sketches and concept development

Sectional elevation (not to scale)
The aspects of the 'Motivation Theory' were stimulated in 3 different ways - emotionally through aestheticism and beauty , physically through adrenaline-infused challenges, and mentally through curiosity and mastery.
Below are the educational and entertainment (edutainment) components of the space exploration centre:

Aerodium: Wind Tunnel

Aerodium: Tunnel Walkthrough

Aerodium: Viewing Gallery

Observatory: Telescopes Area

Observatory: Virtual Reality Viewing Scopes

Exhibition: Natural Phenomena

Planetarium

Museum: Story-telling comprehension through time (past, present and future)

Library

MoonX: Outdoor 3D omni-theatre

Rough concept sketches transforming into 3D visualizations
My design research greatly focused on how to create an immersive environment to motivate users to learn, and, as a result, the project included many technologically interactive interior design elements and furniture. It was designed in this manner to revive and peak the users’ curiosity and interest through creative interactive approaches.

Interactive design to immerse a child’s mental state into the learning environment

Interactive design incorporated through technology to motivate the user’s comprehension of the subject
Virtual reality scenes of the interiors of the centre were also created to provide an immersive experience of the project using VR headsets.

In addition, a service design study was made to create an affiliated mobile app for the centre. Take a look at the prototype:
